Welcome to the GPP Training website

AVAC and the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) are collaborating to develop an online training course on the AVAC/UNAIDS Good Participatory Practice guidelines (GPP). This course will feature dynamic learning content, case studies, online discussions, and more, based on the GPP guidelines content and supplementary tools. The course will primarily aim to support trial site staff and key advocates in understanding GPP and its implications in the clinical trial context. For key audiences – including trial staff – the course may also be used for key pieces of implementing GPP, for instance, developing a stakeholder engagement plan.

A pilot of the first two modules of this course will take place January 14-25, 2013. At the end, participants will receive a certificate of completion. The pilot will include the following components:

  • Interactive online learning content (15-20 minutes for each module)
  • An online discussion (20-30 minutes for each module)
  • A work assignment that would allow you to apply what you have learned to your current work at your site (20-30 minutes)
  • Completion of a survey for feedback (10 minutes)
  • Participation in an informal feedback session via conference call

If you are interested in participating in this pilot, please contact Stacey Hannah at Stacey@avac.org.
